The two-year government bond yield in the UK fell by more than 10 basis points on Friday, and also dropped by the same amount for the week.
At the end of the European market on Friday, the yield of the 10-year UK government bond fell by 6.9 basis points to 4.836%, with a cumulative decrease of 6.7 basis points for the week. From June 8th to 11th, the yield mainly fluctuated narrowly above 4.9%, and on June 12th, it dropped sharply at the opening of the European market. The yield of the 2-year UK government bond fell by 10.6 basis points to 4.235%, with a cumulative decrease of 10.3 basis points for the week. The yield of the 30-year UK government bond fell by 5.3 basis points to 5.536%, with a cumulative decrease of 5.1 basis points for the week. The yield of the 50-year UK government bond fell by 4.0 basis points to 5.112%, with a cumulative decrease of 3.9 basis points for the week. The yield spread between the 2-year and 10-year UK government bonds increased by 3.674 basis points to +59.968 basis points, with a cumulative increase of 3.536 basis points for the week.
