TrendForce's latest research shows that with the expansion of AI data center scale and the arms race for computing power, the transmission rate has increased to over 1.6 Tbps. To ensure a stable supply, companies such as NVIDIA, Google, and Meta strategically locked in the production capacity of EML and CW-DFB LD chip suppliers, driving suppliers to actively expand production to meet customer demands. This further boosts the total production capacity of EML and CW-DFB LD chips in 2026 to more than double, reaching 50.7 million units. The top three manufacturers are Broadcom, Lumentum, and Sumitomo Electric, with a combined market share of 55%.
