Illegal collection and use of personal information, 71 mobile apps have been reported.

According to the joint announcement issued by the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Public Security on carrying out a series of special actions for personal information protection in 2026, based on laws and regulations such as the Cybersecurity Law, Personal Information Protection Law, Network Data Security Management Regulations, and the Methods for Determining Illegal and Irregular Collection and Use of Personal Information by Apps, after testing by the National Computer Virus Emergency Response Center, it was found that 71 mobile applications have committed one or more illegal and irregular collection and use of personal information.
