Two departments: Starting June 1st, monthly and intra-month transactions will be initiated to carry out market-oriented transactions for the transmission rights on the Yuxiao HVDC transmission channel.

The National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration issued a notice on conducting market-based trading of transmission rights in the Yunxiao HVDC grid. Starting from June 1, 2026, according to the "Yunxiao HVDC Transmission Rights Marketization Trading Plan", monthly and intra-month transactions will be conducted in the Yunxiao HVDC corridor. During the work process, the principles of "safety as the anchor, prudence as the key, fairness and transparency, and orderly competition" must be adhered to. State Grid Corporation and Southern Power Grid Corporation must ensure the safe and stable operation of the Yunxiao HVDC corridor, implement the priority generation scale plan requirements, ensure the safe and reliable supply of electricity in Fujian and Guangdong, prudently connect the market-based trading of transmission rights with existing trading mechanisms, and provide stable expectations for various business entities to participate in trading and efficiently use the corridor. It is necessary to actively promote the market-based integration of renewable energy through the trading of transmission rights, and expand the scale of cross-province and cross-region green energy consumption.
