According to data from the Financial Supervisory Service of South Korea and the securities custody institution, in the past year ending in April, South Korean companies issued a total of 741.4 trillion Korean won in short-term bonds and commercial papers, a year-on-year increase of 47.1%. The issuance volume of domestic corporate bonds decreased by 34.1% year-on-year.
