Institution: The Chinese PC market is expected to grow by 6% year-on-year to 42.1 million units by 2025.
On April 2, the latest data from Omdia showed that the Chinese PC market is expected to remain relatively flat year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2025, with a total shipment of 11.5 million units. Among them, desktop shipments reached 4 million units, a year-on-year increase of 35%; laptop shipments decreased by 13% year-on-year to 7.5 million units, while tablet shipments increased by 10% year-on-year to 9.1 million units. In terms of annual performance, the Chinese PC market is expected to grow by 6% in 2025, reaching 42.1 million units in total. Tablets outperformed the PC category, with a 14% increase in shipments to 36 million units for the whole year. As subsidies weaken and material costs rise, especially with the increase in memory costs, Omdia currently predicts that PC shipments in China will decrease by 10% year-on-year in 2026, dropping to 37.9 million units.
