India makes final anti-dumping ruling on elastic filament yarn involving China

On March 18, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued a notice, making an affirmative final ruling on anti-dumping on elastic filament yarn originating in or imported from China and Vietnam, and proposing to impose anti-dumping duties on the products involved from the above-mentioned countries for a period of 5 years. The details of the duties are as follows: China ranges from 880-2033 USD/ton, with Xinxiang Chemical Fibre Co., Ltd. being 1664 USD/ton, Hangzhou Qingyun New Material Co., Ltd. and Zhuji Qingrong New Material Co., Ltd. both being 880 USD/ton, and other Chinese manufacturers being 2033 USD/ton; Vietnam ranges from 794-1262 USD/ton. The following products are exempt from the duty: colored elastic yarn, LYCRA elastic filament yarn, spooled elastic yarn, and elastic filament yarn for diapers. This case involves products under Indian customs codes 54024400 and 54041100.
