Guangdong Tobacco Monopoly Administration: Illegal cigarettes totaling 1,399,900 have been seized from Mei Yijia store.

On the evening of March 14th, the "2026 Guangdong 315 Gala" exposed the situation of Meiyijia selling fake cigarettes in many stores. According to the Guangdong Tobacco Monopoly Bureau, on the evening of March 14th, the province's Tobacco Monopoly Bureau quickly organized all levels of tobacco monopoly bureaus, united with relevant departments, to conduct special inspections on the exposed Meiyijia stores and surrounding related stores overnight. They carried out a comprehensive investigation of all Meiyijia stores in the province, resolutely cracking down on illegal activities that infringe on consumer rights in accordance with the law. As of 3 pm on March 15th, a total of 2328 law enforcement officers were deployed throughout the province, inspecting 6325 Meiyijia stores, handling 306 cases of tobacco-related violations, involving 306 stores, and seizing a total of 1.399 million illegal cigarettes. As of the time of publication, the related inspection actions in the province are still ongoing.
