Janiv Shah, Vice President of Energy Petroleum Market at Rayz Consultancy, said that if the unrest in the Middle East continues for four months, the price of Brent crude oil could rise to as high as $135 per barrel. The company stated that in a shorter crisis scenario lasting two months, oil prices would rise to over $110 per barrel in April, then fall as supply returns to normal, dropping to around $70 by the end of the year. This would result in an average price of around $87 per barrel in 2026. In a longer scenario of four months of war, the price of Brent crude oil would skyrocket to around $135 per barrel before falling to around $85 by the end of the year as the market supply and demand balance is restored. Shah said, "The focus has now shifted entirely to national energy security, making the current oil prices pose a very real threat to global stability."
