Recently, the Supreme People's Procuratorate announced the situation of conducting special supervision activities on community group buying. In response to difficulties in safeguarding the rights and interests of community group buying, procuratorial organs have clarified boundaries with the sword of the rule of law by handling civil public interest litigation cases, promoting the normalization and legalization of platform consumption order. Unlike traditional retail "finding goods for people" methods, community group buying, as a new format of platform retailing food, has successfully achieved "finding people for goods" through the operation mode of "pre-sale + self-collection + localization", and has been widely welcomed by consumers. Data shows that the number of community group buying users in China has surpassed 600 million, covering over 80% of urban communities and county-level markets. Community group buying, focusing on high-frequency essential categories such as fresh produce and daily necessities, has developed rapidly, but has also led to some common problems: inadequate performance of inspection obligations for purchased fresh food, superficial quality testing, improper selection of warehouse locations, mixing of food with harmful substances, and substandard cold chain transportation.
