According to multiple media reports on February 11th, South African infrastructure investment and development firm Harris Asset Management plans to acquire "FlySafa" airline within the year to expand its transportation investment portfolio on the African continent. Harris Asset Management Chairman Tesfaye Mahler stated that negotiations with "FlySafa" have entered the final stages, and Harris Asset Management will acquire "FlySafa" through a combination of equity and debt financing, with related details currently under regulatory review. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of this year. "FlySafa" is headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa, and is a subsidiary of South African Safa Airlines, operating over 30 Boeing 737 series aircraft and serving multiple domestic routes in South Africa as well as destinations in Namibia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Mauritius, and other countries, known for its high punctuality and reliability. In 2025, "FlySafa" was awarded the annual "Best Low-Cost Airline in Africa" by the global airline rating authority Skytrax.
