Today, reporters learned that the State Administration for Market Regulation has approved the release of the national standard "Guidelines for Evaluation of Park City Construction". This standard is the first national standard to implement the new era urban development concept of "Park City" in China, marking a new stage for the construction of park cities in China, moving from practical exploration towards national standard leadership. The standard systematically specifies the general principles, framework, construction content, process, and methods of evaluation for park city construction: Firstly, it clarifies the principles of park city construction evaluation, emphasizing a comprehensive system, people-oriented approach, adaptive to local conditions, scientifically applicable, and focusing on the objectivity of the process and the application of results. Secondly, it constructs a comprehensive framework for construction evaluation, covering five aspects and ten construction evaluation content areas including natural ecology, spatial form, human habitation environment, ecological empowerment, and urban governance. Thirdly, it provides clear and specific construction evaluation content and methods, providing guidance on evaluation of core elements such as symbiotic patterns, park greenways, and urban-park integration, and standardizing evaluation processes and methods from preparation to evaluation to conclusion stages. Fourthly, it encourages local governments to build evaluation indicator systems that are in line with their own resource endowments and development stages, and to construct park cities in a way that is tailored to local characteristics. The implementation of this standard will scientifically guide the construction of park cities across the country, providing standard support for the evaluation of park city construction tailored to local characteristics.
