According to the main station reporter, on February 6th local time, it was revealed that U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick had claimed that his contact with Jeffrey Epstein was "limited." However, documents from the U.S. Department of Justice show that the two were still conducting business together as late as 2014. The Epstein case files show that on December 28, 2012, Lutnick and Epstein, representing their respective limited liability companies, signed an agreement to purchase shares of the now defunct advertising technology company Adfin. Their signatures appear on adjacent pages of the contract, which also lists a total of nine shareholders of the company.
