Before the Spring Festival, Huang Renxun visited Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, and recently arrived in Taiwan, where he hosted a banquet for local supply chain manufacturers and answered questions about investing in OpenAI and AI infrastructure construction during an interview. According to local media reports, on January 31st, Huang Renxun appeared in the Siping business district in Taipei on his third day in Taiwan, where he purchased preserved fruits. Huang Renxun stated on-site that dried fruits, various peanut candies, and other snacks were all excellent and reminded him of his childhood taste. His interactions with local suppliers during this trip have attracted attention. On the evening of January 31st, Huang Renxun hosted a dinner for NVIDIA's supply chain partners, attended by Weichia Lin, the chairman of Wistron, Morris Chang, the chairman of TSMC, Lin Bai Li, the founder and vice chairman of Quanta, Simon Lin, the chairman of Pegatron, Terry Gou, the chairman of Foxconn, Chen Risong, the chairman of Compal, Rick Tsai, the CEO of Mediatek, and Jonney Shih, the founder of Asus, among others. After the dinner, Huang Renxun saw off Morris Chang. In the interview, Huang Renxun discussed the dynamics of the supply chain. He stated that NVIDIA's demand this year is very strong, with the company working at full capacity to produce Blackwell chips and Rubin chips simultaneously. TSMC must work very hard this year because NVIDIA requires a lot of wafers and CoWoS capacity, and TSMC is currently doing very well. He also mentioned that TSMC may increase its capacity by 100% in the next 10 years, which is a significant investment in infrastructure.
