SWIFT: The global volume of USD transactions soars to a new high.

According to the latest data released by the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT), the share of the US dollar in international transactions in December has risen to 50.5%, higher than last month's 46.8%. This is the highest share since 2023, when the institution based in Belgium revised its data collection methods. Following closely among the major reserve currencies are the Euro, followed by the British Pound, Canadian Dollar, Japanese Yen, and Chinese Renminbi.
