Hon Hai seeks subsidies from the Japanese government to produce artificial intelligence servers locally.

Japanese business magazine Diamond reported that Hon Hai is seeking subsidies from the Japanese government to produce artificial intelligence servers at its subsidiary Sharp's factory in Kameyama City, Mie Prefecture. The report on Friday cited materials submitted by Hon Hai to the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, stating that Hon Hai has proposed a plan to ensure access to NVIDIA chips for production of AI servers in Japan.
