According to the financial app Zhitong, on December 20th, the National Development and Reform Commission, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the Cyberspace Administration of China jointly issued the "Rules on Internet Platform Pricing Behavior." Among them, it is stated that platform operators should conduct subsidies and promotions in a fair and just manner, and should not falsely or exaggerate the amount and intensity of subsidies. When platform operators conduct subsidy promotions, they should prominently display the subsidies and relevant promotional rules on the website or application (APP) activity page, clearly stating information such as the subsidy recipients, subsidy methods, participation conditions, and start and end times. The rules will come into effect on April 10, 2026 and will be valid for 5 years.
