Fujian: Supporting the construction of Ningde as the core area for new energy and new material industries.

The Fujian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the People's Government of Fujian Province recently issued the "Implementation Opinions on Promoting the High-Quality Development of Cities," proposing to promote the coordinated development of large, medium, and small cities. It supports Fuzhou in accelerating the construction of a modern international city; Xiamen in building a high-quality development leading demonstration zone; Zhangzhou in constructing a green smart manufacturing base in the southeast coastal area and a modern, coastal, livable eco-agricultural city; Quanzhou in innovating and developing the "Jinjiang Experience," building a "Maritime Silk Road" city of the 21st century, and a smart manufacturing powerhouse; Sanming and Longyan in building high-quality development demonstration zones in the old revolutionary areas of western Fujian; Putian in implementing the Mulan Creek governance concept and building a green, high-quality development pioneer city; Nanping in constructing the core area of the Dawu Yi cultural tourism circle; Ningde in building the core area of the new energy and new material industry; and Pingtan in the comprehensive experimental zone for a new round of opening and development. It supports local exploration of urban development positioning that fits the local reality. It accelerates the extension of the functions of central cities, driving the development of medium and small cities through industrial transfer and "enclave economy."
