According to reports from media outlets such as Agence France-Presse and Reuters, The Washington Post, owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, announced on the 7th that its CEO and publisher, Will Lewis, will immediately resign. Prior to this, the newspaper announced a large-scale layoff. The report stated that in an email from Lewis to employees shared by a Washington Post reporter on social media, Lewis stated that this is "the right time for me to leave." The Washington Post stated in its statement that the chief financial officer, Jeff DeOrio, will replace Lewis, and the change will take effect immediately.
