China Iron and Steel Industry Association Luo Tiejun: Strengthening self-discipline and orderly exports to meet the demand and structural changes in the "Five-Five" period.
During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, the core issue faced by the steel industry is how to orderly release steel production capacity, ensure market supply-demand balance, and achieve industry efficient and high-quality development as the transition from incremental development to decremental development takes place. At the annual meeting of the Steel Market Working Committee of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association held on December 17, Luo Tiejun, member of the Party Committee and Vice President of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association, pointed out that in the context of "decremental development" becoming the norm in the industry, strengthening self-discipline and orderly exports has become a key force in stabilizing the market and improving efficiency. "We need to realize soberly that long-term large-scale low-priced exports are not sustainable. As cases gradually take effect, it will affect the normal export environment and increase domestic supply-demand pressure," Luo Tiejun warned.
