Amazon's negotiations with USPS have reached a deadlock, and it plans to transfer billions of packages into its own logistics network.
According to the Zhtng Cijng app, it has been reported that Amazon (AMZN.US) is considering ending its large-scale transportation contract with the United States Postal Service (USPS) by the end of 2026, and transferring related parcel business to its rapidly expanding logistics distribution network. Although this move has long been widely expected by the market, it could further worsen the already dire financial situation of USPS - it is worth noting that Amazon is USPS's largest customer, contributing over $6 billion in revenue in 2025, and is also one of the highest profit margin sources for the government agency's parcel business.
