Sino-Canadian Trade and Investment Cooperation Forum held in Toronto, Canada.
The China-Canada Trade and Investment Cooperation Forum was held in Toronto, Canada on the 1st. More than 150 representatives from the Chinese and Canadian government and business sectors attended the forum.
Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended the forum and stated that this year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Canada, as well as the 20th anniversary of the establishment of a strategic partnership. CCPIT is willing to collaborate with Canadian partners to provide strong support for the healthy and stable development of the economic relationship between China and Canada, promote deeper communication and cooperation between the two business communities, support the expansion of trade and investment between businesses, deepen cooperation in traditional sectors, explore new emerging sectors, and jointly explore third-party markets. Canadian businesses are welcomed to actively participate in the "China Year" series of business activities of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in 2026.
Jeffrey Leong, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Canada China Trade Council, mentioned that there are opportunities for cooperation, exchanges, and partnerships between companies from Canada and China in various fields. The Canada China Trade Council is happy to work with Chinese organizations to promote exchanges, help and ensure that Canadian companies make good use of platforms such as the China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo.
Stephen Gerlson, President and CEO of the Toronto Region Board of Trade, stated that Canadian manufacturers are increasingly aware of the progress of China's advanced manufacturing industry and are eager to learn more information and leverage China's leading advantages in this area. He hopes to organize a delegation of manufacturers from Ontario to participate in the expo.
The Canadian business community is optimistic about China's proactive signals to expand its openness, believing that deepening economic and trade cooperation with China is timely amidst profound changes in the global supply chain landscape. Canadian businesses look forward to using the expo as a bridge to deepen cooperation with Chinese companies in areas such as financial services, natural resources, advanced manufacturing, and agriculture and food.
China Exhibition Group introduced the fourth China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo and signed a cooperation memorandum with the Canada China Trade Council on site. Currently, more than 300 Chinese and foreign companies have signed agreements to participate in the fourth expo.
