Microsoft and NVIDIA have announced that they will jointly invest up to $15 billion in the artificial intelligence developer Anthropic. The two companies also stated on Tuesday that Anthropic has committed to purchasing up to $30 billion worth of computing power from Microsoft's Azure cloud services. In a video released on Tuesday, the CEO of Microsoft stated, "We will increasingly become each other's customers - we will use Anthropic's models, they will use our infrastructure, and together we will explore new markets. Of course, all of this is built on the foundation of our partnership with OpenAI, which remains an important partner for Microsoft."
