Ministry of Commerce response to ASI Semiconductors related issues

This afternoon, the Ministry of Commerce held its regular press conference, and the spokesperson answered questions from reporters on the issue of ASML. Ministry of Commerce spokesperson He Yadong: Previously, the Chinese side had responded to comments from relevant journalists on the issue of ASML. Here, I would like to emphasize once again that the Dutch side's improper intervention in the internal affairs of ASML has caused turmoil and confusion in the global semiconductor production supply chain. The Dutch government has disregarded the reasonable demands put forward by the Chinese side during consultations, failed to demonstrate a constructive attitude and action, and escalated the global supply chain crisis. The Dutch side should bear full responsibility for this. In a responsible attitude towards the stability and security of the global semiconductor production supply chain, China has timely approved export permit applications from Chinese exporters and provided exemptions for qualified exports, making efforts to promote the resumption of supply from ASML. China hopes that the Dutch side, considering the overall situation of China-Netherlands, China-Europe economic and trade relations, and the stability and security of the global production supply chain, will adopt a responsible attitude and work with China to stop interfering in the internal affairs of enterprises and find a constructive solution to the issue of ASML.
