On February 22, the Statistics and Census Bureau of the Macao SAR Government released the 2023 annual and fourth quarter tourist expenditure survey. According to data from the Macao Statistics and Census Bureau, driven by a nearly fourfold increase in inbound tourist arrivals, the total tourist expenditure (excluding gaming) for the whole year of 2023 increased nearly threefold to 71.25 billion Macao patacas (MOP), compared to 2022, and also increased by 11.2% compared to 2019.
