CSPC PHARMA (01093) announced that the Group has signed a strategic research and development cooperation agreement (the Agreement) with AstraZeneca to discover and develop new oral small molecule drug candidates. Unless otherwise defined, the terms used in this announcement shall have the same meaning as those defined in the announcement. As disclosed in the announcement, the Group agrees to discover preclinical candidates (PCC) with potential for treating multiple indications for several targets selected by AstraZeneca, including a preclinical small molecule oral therapy for immune diseases. The Group received a milestone payment of $10 million from AstraZeneca on August 5, 2026, for exercising its authorization option for one of the PCC projects under the terms of the Agreement, marking that the relevant R&D work under the Agreement is progressing steadily as planned.
