Regarding regulatory approvals, the China Securities Regulatory Commission issued a notice for the filing of overseas issuance and listing on July 10, approving SHEIN to issue no more than 342 million ordinary shares for overseas listing and to be listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Public information shows that SHEIN was founded by Xu Yangtian in Nanjing in 2008 and relocated its headquarters to Singapore in 2021. The company collaborates with Chinese suppliers, with a business model focused on overseas markets.
