China Telecom Corporation (00728) has elected Liang Xuming and Chen Jimin as independent non-executive directors.

China Telecom Corporation (00728) announced that the board of directors recommends the re-election of current executive directors Mr. Ke Ruiwen, Mr. Liu Guiqing, Mr. Tang Ke, and Mr. Li Yinghui as executive directors of the ninth board of directors (excluding employee directors); the re-election of current non-executive director Mr. Lv Yongzhong as a non-executive director of the ninth board of directors; and the re-election of current independent non-executive directors Mr. Wu Jianing and Mr. Li Huiguang as independent non-executive directors of the ninth board of directors. At the same time, the board of directors proposed that the company's shareholders approve the election of Mr. Liang Xuming and Ms. Chen Jimin as independent non-executive directors of the ninth board of directors at the annual general meeting.
