According to the disclosure from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on October 9th, Dongpeng Beverage (Group) Co., Ltd. (referred to as Dongpeng Beverage (605499.SH)) submitted an application for listing on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Huatai International, Morgan Stanley, and UBS Group are the joint sponsors.
According to the disclosure of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on October 9, Eastroc Beverage Group Co., Ltd. (referred to as Eastroc Beverage (605499.SH)) has submitted an application to the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange for listing, with Huatai International, Morgan Stanley, and UBS Group as joint sponsors. The company had previously submitted a listing application to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on April 3, 2025.
The prospectus shows that Eastroc Beverage is China's leading functional beverage company, with revenue growth ranking first among the top 20 listed soft drink companies in the world. According to a Frost & Sullivan report, in terms of sales volume, Eastroc Beverage has been ranked first in the Chinese functional beverage market for four consecutive years since 2021, with market share increasing from 15.0% in 2021 to 26.3% in 2024. In terms of retail sales, Eastroc Beverage was the second largest functional beverage company in 2024, with a market share of 23.0%, solidifying its leading position.
With over 30 years of experience, Eastroc Beverage continues to provide consumers with delicious and high-quality beverage products, successfully shaping the "Dongpeng" brand, which is beloved by consumers and has a national level of influence. While solidifying its leadership position in the functional beverage industry, the company also continues to innovate and expand its product categories. Eastroc Beverage has established a nationwide sales network, covering over 4.2 million terminal sales outlets nationwide as of June 30, 2025, achieving nearly 100% coverage of prefecture-level cities in China.
Eastroc Beverage adheres to a refined channel management strategy, creating a unique "product + service" model. With a strong sales team of over 7,000 people, the company provides comprehensive support to its channel partners (such as distribution partners and terminal sales outlets), establishing a deep and mutually beneficial relationship. From an industry perspective, according to a Frost & Sullivan report, the retail sales of China's soft drink industry reached approximately RMB 1.3 trillion in 2024, making it the world's second largest soft drink consumption market. Functional beverages have become the fastest-growing segment, with a compound annual growth rate of 8.3% from 2019 to 2024, higher than the overall soft drink market's 4.7% growth rate during the same period. According to the report, the energy drink market in China is expected to reach RMB 180.7 billion by 2029, with a compound annual growth rate of 10.3% from 2025 to 2029.
In terms of finances, for the financial years 2022, 2023, 2024, and the first half of 2025, Eastroc Beverage's revenues were approximately RMB 8.5 billion, RMB 11.257 billion, RMB 15.83 billion, and RMB 10.732 billion, respectively; and during the same periods, the total comprehensive income for the year was approximately RMB 1.426 billion, RMB 2.059 billion, RMB 3.364 billion, and RMB 2.348 billion, respectively.
