Silicon Industry Sub-association: Stalemate Game between Upstream and Downstream of Monocrystalline Silicon Wafers, Silicon Wafer Prices Remain Stable.
On June 5th, the silicon industry branch issued a statement stating that this week, silicon wafer prices remained stable. Among them, the average transaction price of N-type G10L monocrystalline silicon wafers (182*183.75mm/130m) was 0.95 yuan/piece, which was unchanged from last week; the average transaction price of N-type G12R monocrystalline silicon wafers (182*210mm/130m) was 1.10 yuan/piece, which was unchanged from last week; the average transaction price of N-type G12 monocrystalline silicon wafers (210*210 mm/130m) was 1.30 yuan/piece, which was unchanged from last week.
On June 5th, the Silicon Industry Branch issued a statement stating that this week, silicon wafer prices have remained stable. The average transaction price for N-type G10L monocrystalline silicon wafer (182*183.75mm/130m) was 0.95 yuan per wafer, holding steady compared to last week; the average transaction price for N-type G12R monocrystalline silicon wafer (182*210mm/130m) was 1.10 yuan per wafer, holding steady compared to last week; the average transaction price for N-type G12 monocrystalline silicon wafer (210*210 mm/130m) was 1.30 yuan per wafer, holding steady compared to last week.
Following the Dragon Boat Festival holidays, many companies have adopted a wait-and-see attitude, resulting in relatively fewer transactions in the market this week and no significant fluctuations in silicon wafer prices. With the final deadline of the 531 policy for the photovoltaic industry passed, most silicon wafer prices have fallen below the cash cost line of many silicon wafer manufacturers. Faced with the pressure of losses, manufacturers are eager to maintain and increase prices. However, with the conclusion of the 531 policy, downstream demand has rapidly decreased, and there is a strong tendency for battery manufacturers to purchase silicon wafers at lower prices, leading to a stalemate in the market. According to research, the overall operating rate of the industry this week is relatively stable at around 53%, with two top-tier enterprises operating at 50% and 56% respectively, integrated enterprises operating between 54% and 80%, and the rest operating between 54% and 80%.
This week, downstream component prices remained relatively stable, with mainstream prices of components at 0.66-0.67 yuan/W; battery prices decreased slightly, with mainstream prices of battery wafers at 0.25-0.26 yuan/W, a decrease of 0.01 yuan/W compared to before the holiday. Looking ahead, there is no significant room for downward price movement for silicon wafers in the near future, and prices are expected to remain stable. However, if raw material prices continue to decline in the future, coupled with moderate demand, it is not ruled out that silicon wafer prices may subsequently decline.
