CANVEST ENV (01381) released its annual performance ending on December 31, 2024, with a total revenue of HK$4.198 billion, a decrease of 15.4% year on year; profit attributable to equity holders of the company was HK$924 million, a decrease of 9.7% year on year; basic earnings per share were 38 Hong Kong cents. The announcement stated that the decline in total revenue was mainly due to a 97.8% decrease in construction income to HK$22.5 million compared to the previous year. At present, most of the group's waste-to-energy projects have been put into operation, and the waste-to-energy industry has entered a mature stage, characterized by a decrease in new projects. However, in 2024, revenue from electricity sales, waste treatment fees, and environmental sanitation and other services (the group's core business) totaled HK$3.99 billion, an increase of 6.4% compared to the previous year.
