Hunan Hansen Pharmaceutical has obtained approval for the extension of the protection period of Simitang Oral Liquid, a nationally protected traditional Chinese medicine.

Hunan Hansen Pharmaceutical (002412.SZ) announced that the National Medical Products Administration has extended the second-level protection for the company's Simotang Oral Liquid. According to the announcement, the functions of Simotang Oral Liquid are to regulate qi, relieve nausea, reduce stagnation, and alleviate pain. It is used for infant and child indigestion with symptoms such as abdominal distension, abdominal pain, crying, poor appetite, diarrhea or constipation; elderly indigestion with symptoms such as abdominal distension, abdominal pain, and constipation; and to promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function after abdominal surgery.
