AI startup company OpenAI, supported by Microsoft Corporation (MSFT.US), announced on Tuesday that it is rolling out its deep research artificial intelligence agent to all ChatGPT Plus, teams, educational, and corporate users. In a post on x, OpenAI stated, "Firstly, Plus, team, corporate, and educational users will have 10 deep research queries per month. Pro users will now have 120 deep research queries per month." Earlier this month, OpenAI stated that deep research is their next AI agent that can work independently for users. The company added that based on prompts, ChatGPT will search, analyze, and integrate hundreds of online resources to create research analyst-level comprehensive reports. Deep research is supported by the upcoming OpenAI o3 model, which is optimized for web browsing and data analysis. According to OpenAI, it also uses reasoning to search, interpret, and analyze a large amount of text, images, and PDF files on the internet and make necessary adjustments based on the encountered information. Nevertheless, OpenAI has previously stated that deep research still has some limitations, including occasional illusions or incorrect inferences in responses, although the occurrence rate is lower than the existing ChatGPT model. OpenAI has also stated that deep research is an "important step" in the development of General Artificial Intelligence (AGI). AGI is a long-term goal in the field of artificial intelligence. AGI aims to create an intelligent system that can learn, understand, think, and respond to various tasks and situations like humans.
