In January 2025, the year-on-year decrease in both the ex-factory prices and the purchase prices of industrial producers nationwide was 2.3%, the same as the previous month; the month-on-month decrease was 0.2%.
On February 9th, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in January 2025, both the ex-factory prices and purchasing prices of industrial producers nationwide decreased by 2.3% year-on-year, with the same decrease as the previous month; and decreased by 0.2% month-on-month. In January, among industrial producer ex-factory prices, the prices of production materials decreased by 2.6%, affecting a total decrease of approximately 1.95 percentage points in industrial producer ex-factory prices. Among them, the prices in the mining industry decreased by 4.9%, raw material industry prices decreased by 1.9%, and processing industry prices decreased by 2.7%. The prices of living materials decreased by 1.2%, affecting a total decrease of approximately 0.31 percentage points in industrial producer ex-factory prices. Among them, food prices decreased by 1.4%, clothing prices decreased by 0.1%, general daily necessities prices increased by 0.5%, and durable consumer goods prices decreased by 2.6%.

I. Changes in industrial producer prices year-on-year
In January, among industrial producer ex-factory prices, the prices of production materials decreased by 2.6%, affecting a total decrease of approximately 1.95 percentage points in industrial producer ex-factory prices. Among them, the prices in the mining industry decreased by 4.9%, raw material industry prices decreased by 1.9%, and processing industry prices decreased by 2.7%. The prices of living materials decreased by 1.2%, affecting a total decrease of approximately 0.31 percentage points in industrial producer ex-factory prices. Among them, food prices decreased by 1.4%, clothing prices decreased by 0.1%, general daily necessities prices increased by 0.5%, and durable consumer goods prices decreased by 2.6%.
In industrial producer purchasing prices, prices of black metal materials decreased by 8.9%, fuel and power prices decreased by 5.2%, chemical raw material prices decreased by 4.1%, agricultural and sideline product prices decreased by 3.3%, construction materials and non-metal prices decreased by 2.3%, and textile raw material prices decreased by 1.4%; prices of non-ferrous metal materials and wire increased by 10.9%.
II. Changes in industrial producer prices month-on-month
In January, among industrial producer ex-factory prices, the prices of production materials decreased by 0.2%, affecting a total decrease of approximately 0.17 percentage points in industrial producer ex-factory prices. Among them, the prices in the mining industry decreased by 0.2%, raw material industry prices remained the same, and processing industry prices decreased by 0.3%. The prices of living materials remained the same. Among them, food prices decreased by 0.2%, clothing prices decreased by 0.2%, general daily necessities prices decreased by 0.1%, and durable consumer goods prices increased by 0.2%.
In industrial producer purchasing prices, prices of agricultural and sideline products decreased by 0.4%, prices of black metal materials decreased by 0.3%, prices of chemical raw materials and textile raw materials decreased by 0.2%, prices of fuel and power, non-ferrous metal materials and wires, and construction materials and non-metals all decreased by 0.1%.
