Macao Tourism Office: It is estimated that the number of tourists will reach between 38 to 39 million this year, close to the level of 2019.

According to reports, the director of the Macao Government Tourism Office, Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, stated that thanks to the policies such as "one trip per week" and "one visa multiple trips" for tourists from Zhuhai and Hengqin, it is estimated that the total number of visitors in 2025 could reach 38 to 39 million, close to the level of 2019. Senna Fernandes also mentioned that during this year's Chinese New Year Golden Week of 8 days, it is expected that there will be an average of 185,000 visitors per day, with around 8,000 of them being international tourists. Senna Fernandes also introduced the work of the Tourism Office for this year, mentioning that they are preparing for 5 overseas roadshows, including in Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta, expecting to complete them in the first half of the year. The authorities will also attend a tourism exhibition in Spain next week to liaise with the local industry, and in late February, they will hold tourism promotion events in Dubai, UAE, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In March, they will attend a tourism exhibition in Berlin, Germany. Senna Fernandes also mentioned that there will be two major European events held in Macao this year, including a meeting of the European Travel Agents Association in June, and the annual meeting of the Portuguese Travel Agents Association in December.
