On January 8th, the "Heart Unity and Benefit" 2024 Charity Gala hosted by "Chinese Philanthropist" was held in Beijing. ALI PICTURES (01060) was honored with the "2024 ESG Pioneer" award by the Chinese Philanthropist for its proactive responsibility and innovative practices in the ESG field, making it the only entertainment company to receive the award. The annual Charity Gala of "Chinese Philanthropist" is a major event in the public welfare field, aiming to commend individuals, organizations, and companies who have contributed to social progress and charity work over the past year, in order to promote a charitable atmosphere for everyone. In 2024, ALI PICTURES Group firmly promoted the concept of sustainable development, integrating ESG values into its corporate strategy, operations, and management, focusing on high-quality content, exploring AI technology, emphasizing green environmental protection, and participating in rural public welfare, in order to build a harmonious and win-win development relationship with all parties. In terms of content, ALI PICTURES adheres to the values of "ordinary people, true heroes, great ideals, and positive energy" in content production and creative works, continuously injecting positive values into society. Over the past year, ALI PICTURES has been involved in the production, distribution, and promotion of several outstanding films with cultural and humanitarian spirits, including "Hot and Spicy," "Volunteer Army: Battle of Life and Death," "What Kind of Life Do You Want to Live," "Good Stuff," "Small Me," "Peacekeeping Riot Squad," "There is a Small Shop at Yunbian," "Grandma's Grandson," "Stops and Go," "Only This Green," and "The Lisbon Maru Sinks," which collectively accounted for nearly 60% of box office revenue and serviced nearly 600 million viewers. In terms of technology, ALI PICTURES is advancing in AI technology, continuing to leverage technology in film and television content creation. In 2024, ALI PICTURES has established virtual studios in various locations, integrating virtual shooting technology into film and television projects; Lighthouse AI has also integrated with Tongyi Qianwen's large model to enhance promotion effectiveness. At the same time, ALI PICTURES actively participates in social charity work, focusing on the revitalization of rural culture, and providing easy access to films for disabled persons. In 2024, the "Taopiao Stars" charity screenings in collaboration with "Galaxy Screenwriter," "Youth Diary," "Dust Settles," "Stops and Go," "Against the Tide," "Egg Bao's Big Rescue," and "Burn City" have screened in rural areas in 24 provinces/cities/autonomous regions, bringing the latest films to rural communities with over 1200 screenings; Taopiao's "Wheelchair-Friendly Theater" feature has been launched in over 60 theaters in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hangzhou, providing great convenience for disabled individuals to purchase tickets and watch movies, and has been recognized as a national emblematic and exemplary achievement in barrier-free environment construction due to its unique product innovation and user-friendliness. As a platform-based entertainment company, ALI PICTURES also focuses on the sustainable development of its partners, supporting merchant growth through various measures. At the end of 2024, Damai introduced the Theater Merchants Policy, reducing service fees for small merchants in the platform's theater category to help them lower operating costs and boost business growth efficiency. Additionally, Damai launched a comprehensive promotion service plan, providing support for projects with marketing throughout the lifecycle, personalized services across the entire process, and analysis using a 360-degree data model to help projects excel in the market. Furthermore, ALI PICTURES has laid a solid foundation in environmental protection, supporting the low-carbon development of the entertainment industry. In 2024, the Anaya Shrimp Music Festival, in collaboration with Alibaba Charity and Noru Environmental Protection, launched the "Green Music Festival" initiative, encouraging and guiding audience members to dispose of trash at designated locations, participate in garbage sorting, and maintain a clean and orderly music festival site to prevent ocean pollution. Over three days, hundreds of thousands of plastic bottles were recycled, with approximately 140,000 people responding to the initiative. It can be seen that in the pursuit of sustainable development, anchoring green low-carbon practices, and meeting the increasing needs of the people for a better life, ALI PICTURES' active responsibility in the ESG field has injected new energy into the company's high-quality development and opened up new scenarios, while also further enhancing the brand recognition of the ALI PICTURES Group in the industry and society. Currently, ALI PICTURES' MSCI ESG rating has been upgraded to A, the highest rating in the domestic film and entertainment industry. Zhang Ying, the ESG head of ALI PICTURES and Vice President of ALI PICTURES, stated that in the future, ALI PICTURES will continue to increase its investment and actions in safety compliance, corporate governance, environmental protection, and social charity. By integrating ESG concepts into technological innovation and content creation, ALI PICTURES aims to build a sustainable and healthy ecosystem, promoting the creation of long-term value.
