On December 27, the National Energy Administration released the data on the issuance and trading of renewable energy green certificates in November 2024. In November 2024, the National Energy Administration issued a total of 1.205 billion green certificates. Among them, wind power accounted for 650 million, accounting for 53.93%; CECEP Solar Energy generated 205 million, accounting for 17.01%; conventional hydropower accounted for 246 million, accounting for 20.45%; biomass power accounted for 103 million, accounting for 8.55%; and other renewable energy sources generated 820,000, accounting for 0.07%. The green certificate issuance fully covered the centralized renewable energy power generation projects that have been filed and approved since June 2022.
By the end of November 2024, a total of 4.756 billion green certificates had been issued nationwide. Among them, wind power accounted for 1.973 billion, accounting for 41.48%; CECEP Solar Energy generated 886 million, accounting for 18.63%; conventional hydropower 1.524 billion, accounting for 32.04%; biomass power 367 million, accounting for 7.72%; and other renewable energy sources generated 6.49 million, accounting for 0.14%.
In November 2024, a total of 54.26 million green certificates were traded nationwide (including 21.55 million traded with green electricity); by the end of November 2024, a total of 439 million green certificates had been traded nationwide (including 216 million traded with green electricity).
