On November 20, according to the disclosure of the State Grid, in October 2024, the electricity consumption index for the whole industry was 131.6, a growth of 31.6% compared to the base year of 2020, with an average annual growth rate of 7.1% and a year-on-year increase of 3.8%. In October, the electricity consumption index for agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery was 155.1, an increase of 55.1% compared to the base year of 2020, with an average annual growth rate of 11.6% and a year-on-year increase of 5.1%. In October, the electricity consumption index for the manufacturing industry was 130.7, an increase of 30.7% compared to the base year of 2020, with an average annual growth rate of 6.9%, and a year-on-year increase of 2.4%, consistent with the previous month's growth rate. The electricity consumption index for the high-tech and equipment manufacturing industry was 147.9, an increase of 47.9% compared to the base year of 2020, with an average annual growth rate of 10.3%, and a year-on-year increase of 7.2%, maintaining a rapid growth momentum for electricity consumption in the high-tech and equipment manufacturing industry. The electricity consumption index for the consumer goods manufacturing industry was 128.5, an increase of 28.5% compared to the base year of 2020, with an average annual growth rate of 6.5%, and a year-on-year increase of 3.5%. In October, the electricity consumption index for the service industry was 148.3, an increase of 48.3% compared to the base year of 2020, with an average annual growth rate of 10.4%, and a year-on-year increase of 8.4%, maintaining a fast growth momentum for electricity consumption in the service industry. Among them: The electricity consumption index for transportation, warehousing, and postal services was 141.2, an increase of 41.2% compared to the base year of 2020, with an average annual growth rate of 9.0%, and a year-on-year increase of 5.3%. The electricity consumption index for information transmission, software, and information technology services was 152.0, an increase of 52.0% compared to the base year of 2020, with an average annual growth rate of 11.0%, and a year-on-year increase of 12.5%. Driven by the rapid development of 5G, artificial intelligence, big data, and other technologies, electricity consumption in the information transmission, software, and information technology services industry continues to grow rapidly. The electricity consumption index for accommodation and catering services was 153.7, an increase of 53.7% compared to the base year of 2020, with an average annual growth rate of 11.3%, and a year-on-year increase of 7.5%.
