Deloitte: Over 90% of the respondents believe that Gen AI has enormous potential to increase efficiency and productivity.

Recently, a Deloitte survey found that most companies expect Generation AI to play a positive role in improving efficiency and reducing costs, enhancing products and services, as well as focusing on promoting innovation, business growth, and customer relationships. Data shows that over 90% of respondents believe that Gen AI has immense potential in improving efficiency and productivity; 76% of companies are looking forward to optimizing the quality of products and services through Gen AI; and 72% of companies hope to reduce costs through Gen AI. Deloitte China and the China Chain Store & Franchise Association jointly released the "Panoramic Exploration White Paper of Generation AI in the Retail Industry", which deeply analyzes the current development, application scenarios, and implementation paths of Generation AI in the consumer goods and retail industry, and identifies high-interest and relatively mature application solutions in the industry. In addition, 60% of companies expect Gen AI to drive innovation and growth, while 56% of companies see the role of Gen AI in strengthening customer relationships and improving employee job satisfaction. Peng Jianzhen, President of the China Chain Store & Franchise Association, stated that against the backdrop of the accelerating global digitalization process, the mainland retail industry is undergoing profound changes. Generation AI, with its powerful data processing and automatic generation capabilities, is rapidly penetrating various aspects of the retail industry, bringing new opportunities for transformation in areas such as marketing, supply chain, and customer service. From personalized marketing at the front end to intelligent inventory management at the back end, the application scenarios of Generation AI continue to expand, reshaping the operational model and competitive landscape of the retail industry. Dai Ziqiang, Partner of Deloitte's consulting business in China, stated that over the past decade, every advancement in technologies such as omni-channel integration, big data, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, unmanned retail, and social e-commerce has rapidly enhanced and changed consumers' shopping experiences, while also driving the transformation and upgrading of the mainland retail industry.
