Macau financial year budget for 2025: Estimated gross gambling revenue for next year to be 240 billion Macau patacas.

The Macao Special Administrative Region government submitted the "Fiscal Year 2025 Budget Bill" to the Macao Legislative Assembly, expecting the Macao economy to further recover. The momentum of comprehensive tourism and leisure industry recovery can continue into the next year, with an increase in the number of visitors to Macao. However, there may be changes in their tourism and consumption patterns. Taking into account various factors, it is estimated that the gross gaming revenue for the fiscal year 2025 will be 240 billion Macao patacas, which will serve as the main financial income basis for the Macao SAR government to prepare the fiscal year 2025 budget. The budget for the next fiscal year estimates that Macao's general comprehensive budget revenue will be 121 billion Macao patacas, with expenditures of 113.3 billion Macao patacas, resulting in a budget surplus of 7.7 billion Macao patacas. After offsetting according to the rules of the budget outline law, it is estimated that the budget expenditure for the year 2025 will increase by about 7% compared to 2024. The budget for government investment and development expenditure plan (PIDDA) for the next year is 19.78 billion Macao patacas. It is worth noting that the bill proposes to continue implementing a series of livelihood measures next year, with an estimated total of 25.782 billion Macao patacas, including cash sharing plans, medical subsidy plans, residential electricity subsidy, and continuous education and development plans, with an estimated total expenditure of 8.564 billion Macao patacas. In addition, the total expenditure on free education allowance, tuition allowance for Macao residents' students not benefiting from free education, study materials allowance for college students, student book allowance, teaching staff allowances and professional development allowances for private education institutions, elderly pensions, retirement pensions, disability pensions, disability allowances, special subsidies for three categories of vulnerable families and regular aid, is estimated to be 13.95 billion Macao patacas.
