On Tuesday, Netflix (NFLX.US) opened slightly higher and continued to hit a new all-time high, rising over 1% to $815.78 at the time of writing. On the news front, Netflix announced that its ad-supported subscription plan now has 70 million monthly active users worldwide, nearly doubling from the 40 million reported in May. The plan is priced at $6.99 per month in the US. Netflix has previously stated that in regions where the ad-supported subscription is available, over 50% of new sign-ups have chosen this plan.
