Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (GS.US) has appointed Rob Drake-Brockman as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its Singapore office. According to media reports, Brockman will continue to serve as the Head of Stock Distribution and Execution for the Asia-Pacific region. Upon receiving regulatory approval, he will take over from James Ellery as CEO, who will be relocating to London by the end of this year.
Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. has over 1300 employees in Singapore, making it the second largest office in the Asia-Pacific region after Hong Kong. The local focus of the company's business is primarily in the market sector, with recent expansions in the asset management and wealth management departments.
Brockman relocated to Singapore in 2022, having previously served as the co-head of Commodities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
