Simplicity Holdings (08367) announced that, according to the company's legal advisor in the Cayman Islands, the Cayman Islands Companies Registry does not consider the proposed Chinese name "" to be the direct translation of the English name "SM International Group Limited". They suggest using the transliteration of the Chinese name into English as "Sheng Meng International Group Limited", and also noting this on the company's registration certificate when changing the name. In light of the above, the company plans to arrange a special general meeting for shareholders to consider and potentially re-approve and confirm the proposed change of company name and adoption of the English transliterated name.
