Minister of Water Resources Li Guoying introduced the achievements of high-quality development of water conservancy during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and answered questions from reporters. Li Guoying pointed out that since the 14th Five-Year Plan, China's water conservancy infrastructure construction has made new progress. In 2022, investment in water conservancy construction reached over one trillion yuan for the first time, breaking historical records for three consecutive years. By 2024, it is estimated to reach 1.3529 trillion yuan. It is expected that the total investment in water conservancy construction during the 14th Five-Year Plan will exceed 5.4 trillion yuan, which is 1.6 times that of the 13th Five-Year Plan.
