According to data from the Ministry of Finance, in August 2025, a total of 571.5 billion yuan of new bonds were issued nationwide, including 82.5 billion yuan of general bonds and 489 billion yuan of special bonds. A total of 408.6 billion yuan of refinancing bonds were issued, including 223.1 billion yuan of general bonds and 185.5 billion yuan of special bonds. In total, a total of 980.1 billion yuan of local government bonds were issued nationwide, including 305.6 billion yuan of general bonds and 674.5 billion yuan of special bonds. From January to August 2025, a total of 388.74 billion yuan of new local government bonds were issued nationwide, including 620.8 billion yuan of general bonds and 326.66 billion yuan of special bonds. A total of 379.64 billion yuan of refinancing bonds were issued, including 120.89 billion yuan of general bonds and 258.75 billion yuan of special bonds. Overall, a total of 768.38 billion yuan of local government bonds were issued nationwide, including 182.97 billion yuan of general bonds and 585.41 billion yuan of special bonds.
