The Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention released the latest monitoring information on dengue fever on the 28th. From 0:00 on the 21st to 24:00 on the 27th, a total of 3153 new locally transmitted cases of dengue fever were reported in the province, with no reports of severe cases or deaths. Kang Min, director of the Infectious Diseases Prevention and Control Department of the Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and chief expert on infectious disease prevention and control, stated that the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays are approaching, leading to increased population mobility. Outdoor activities and high risk of mosquito bites under suitable weather conditions increase the risk of dengue fever transmission and spread. Therefore, the prevention and control efforts must not be slackened.
