According to Chernyshyuk, the fuel reserves at the nuclear power plant are sufficient to support the long-term independent operation of diesel generators. He said that all necessary equipment maintenance or repair work can be completed in a timely manner. Currently, repairs are being studied for damaged sections of high-voltage power lines. On September 23rd local time, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant announced that, due to threats of attack, the last external power line had been cut off. The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has stated that it has switched to relying on backup diesel generators to meet electricity needs.
