Feng Xingya, President of Guangzhou Automobile Group: Ten years from now, at least 3 of the top ten global car manufacturers will be Chinese companies.
On September 25, 2025, the Fortune Global 500 Summit was held in Guangzhou. Feng Xingya, Chairman and General Manager of GAC Group, pointed out at the meeting that the automotive industry is currently in a key stage of "four-phase superposition" including industrial transformation, rapid technological iteration, management process restructuring, and competition pattern adjustment. Future competition will revolve around three core dimensions, ultimately leading to an "ecological showdown". The first is the restructuring of product value, with competition shifting from hardware parameters to "scenario-based intelligent experiences", where cars in ten years will definitely be intelligent mobile spaces. The second is the elevation of competition subjects, shifting from individual competition among car companies to competition within the entire industry chain ecosystem, where deep integration with top technology and energy companies will become a prerequisite for survival. The third is the transformation of value sources, with the core of the business model shifting from one-time hardware sales to the full lifecycle value exploration of "hardware + software + services". Looking at the global landscape, Feng Xingya also pointed out, "In ten years, among the top ten automotive manufacturers globally, at least 3, and possibly even 3 to 5, will be Chinese companies."
