Commodity Futures Trading Commission: As of the week ending September 23, speculators reduced their net long positions by 1868 contracts on COMEX gold, bringing the total to 158,616 contracts. Speculators increased their net long positions by 1937 contracts on COMEX silver, reaching 40,065 contracts.
