According to data from the Federal Reserve, foreign investors set a record level of purchases in the second quarter, with US stocks now accounting for nearly 32% of foreign investors' US asset allocation, breaking a record maintained since 1968. In the three months leading up to June 30, foreign investors injected $290.7 billion into the US stock market. Foreign investors hold approximately $18 trillion in US stocks, representing about 30% of the total market value of nearly $60 trillion, the highest level since 1945.
